2025 Honda Civic Hybrid – Known specs fresh from its deliveries and release in North Am

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is fresh from its North American release. With deliveries starting to pour in, more information has come to light about its specs. Details were kept quite minimal during the teasers and early show-off, but a little bit of snooping on other countries’ websites has given us a pretty good scope of what it’s bringing to the table.

2025 Honda Civic Hybrid – e:HEV power

For starters, the Civic Hybrid will already be powered by Honda’s e:HEV technology. There will still be a petrol-powered 2.0-liter option (LX and Sport variants), but the 1.5-liter turbo has been done away with, and in its place, a familiar 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with both a generator and traction motor. The said engine runs the Atkinson Cycle, as expected of a Honda e:HEV power plant. This can be found in both the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

If we were to stray a bit here, we can see that the interior, specifically the dashboard and its implements, remain mostly untouched if at all. This is not an all-new model, more of a refresh, an update, a minor model change. That is, if you can call a new motor under the hood “minor”.

Now, back to the cake that is the Civic Hybrid’s new mill. It tips the gauges at a combined power output of 200 HP. If we were to look back, the petrol engine puts out about 145 HP and about 180 Nm of pull. The electric motors, on the other hand, pump out 180 HP and 335 Nm of torque. If these numbers look familiar, they’re pretty much the same as that of the CR-V’s. The Civic is lighter, so those who find their feet sitting often and heavily on the accelerator may enjoy the rush a little bit more. Of course, we don’t recommend nor condone reckless driving.

All four variants of the 2025 Civic do come with Honda SENSING, and will come in four colors. There is also a choice between a sedan and a hatchback, and that’s one body type the that PH Civic faithful have been pining for (and over) for a long time now. As for pricing, the variants and tags are as follows:

LX – USD 24,250PHP 1,427,457INR 2,062,766EUR 23,287CNY 176,969

Sport – USD 26,250PHP 1,545,185INR 2,232,891EUR 25,208CNY 191,565

Sport Hybrid – USD 28,750PHP 1,692,346INR 2,445,547EUR 27,609CNY 209,809

Sport Touring Hybrid – USD 31,750PHP 1,868,938INR 2,700,734EUR 30,490CNY 231,702

While we never do take these prices at face value – they will definitely be different if the same Civic Hybrid makes its way here – the two Civic Hybrid variants are priced at around PHP 1USD 0.02INR 1EUR 0.02CNY 0.12.679M and PHP 1USD 0.02INR 1EUR 0.02CNY 0.12.854M, respectively. That said, it’s very unlikely that they’ll hover within those price ranges.

Regardless, Honda’s push for e:HEV continues. If you want to learn more about how Honda’s breakthrough e:HEV Hybrid Technology works, you can read about it in a separate post that we’ve published.
