Ford Philippines has introduced the Territory Hybrid Platinum, a new range-topping variant of its best-selling vehicle, adding premium styling, upgraded cabin materials, and an expanded suite of driver-assist technology.

The launch follows the first anniversary of the Territory Hybrid’s local debut, with total sales reaching 4,405 units as of June 2026. Byron Daquil, director for Retail Product Marketing and Business Growth at Ford Philippines, said the Platinum variant builds on that momentum, positioning the model for buyers looking for the space, comfort, and safety of a family SUV combined with more upscale refinement.

Inside, the Territory Hybrid Platinum gets quilted leather seats with ventilation up front and illuminated PLATINUM scuff plates. A built-in Digital Scent system, described by Ford as a first for the segment, is integrated into the center console and gradually releases alcohol-free fragrance into the cabin, with intensity adjustable through the 12-inch touchscreen. Six scent profiles are available in total: three come pre-installed (Whispers of Dawn, Velvet Ember, and Verdant Rush), while three more (Amber Veil, Azure Oud, and Soul Velocity) can be added through a Ford dealership. That’s a feature you will only find in higher end vehicles.

Audio comes from a 10-speaker Arkamys system that includes a center speaker, subwoofer, 9-band equalizer, and 320W amplifier, producing 5.1 surround sound. Drivers can adjust sound coverage to the full cabin, front seats, or rear seats, and choose from five equalizer presets. The system also includes speed-compensated volume and directional audio safety alerts.

Other cabin features include a two-panel panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, and door sill plates with hidden LED lighting that activates when the doors open. Cargo space expands from 448 liters to 1,442 liters with the second-row seats folded. A smart air filtration system with a PM2.5 filter and ionizer is fitted to keep cabin air clean throughout the drive.

Exterior changes include a two-tone front bumper, a blacked-out roof, gloss black side mirrors, gloss black roof rails with a sharkfin antenna, a gloss black rear bumper, and new 19-inch alloy wheels. PLATINUM badging appears on the hood, tailgate, and bonnet, and the front features a coast-to-coast LED daytime running light strip paired with automatic high beam.

Power comes from a 1.5-liter inline-4 dedicated hybrid engine paired with a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a 1.83kWh lithium-ion NCM high-voltage battery, requiring no external charging. Combined output reaches 150PS and 230Nm from the engine, with the electric motor contributing up to 218PS and 315Nm. The system operates in EV, Series, Parallel, or Energy Recovery modes depending on driving conditions and recovers battery charge through regenerative braking and engine-based energy recovery. Ford rates fuel efficiency at 19.6 km/L, with a claimed driving range of up to 1,000km per full tank.

On the technology side, the Territory Hybrid Platinum comes standard with dual 12-inch instrument and infotainment displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Ford app connectivity. Driver-assist features include Traffic Jam Assist and Integrated Cruise Assist. Traffic Jam Assist engages automatically when Adaptive Cruise Control is active and vehicle speed drops below 60 km/h in congested traffic, helping manage speed and lane centering; if lane markings aren’t clearly visible, the system switches to Follow Mode, tracking the path of the vehicle ahead. Above 60 km/h, Adaptive Cruise Control takes over, working with Integrated Cruise Assist to manage acceleration, braking, and lane centering, and prompting the driver to resume control if lane markings become unclear.
