Starting October 1, 2022 CCLEX will stop accepting cash payments

For those who frequently use the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) take note that starting October 1, 2022, the highway will be 100% RFID only. Yes, that means that cash payments will no longer be accepted.

CCLEX to go cashless for efficiency

The remaining CCLEX cash lanes will already be converted into exclusive RFID lanes, according to a statement. CCLEX has a total of 10 toll lanes, four of which currently accept cash to cater to motorists who have yet to get RFID tags for their vehicles.

“Our transition to full contactless toll payment is aimed at providing a more efficient expressway experience to our road users and afford them ease of travel,” said Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) President & General Manager Allan G. Alfon.

Those who still avail of the cash lanes have 3 weeks to have their own RFID stickers installed. Furthermore, the MPT DriveHub app is available for free on Google Play Store and App Store. Motorists can install it at https://qrco.de/DriveHubPR-1 to easily track their RFID account and reload in real time via debit or credit card, Maya, and other loading services.

Aside from the MPT DriveHub app, motorists can also reload their RFIDs at the CCLEX Customer Service Centers at the Toll Plaza. It’s open from 6 AM to 9 PM, Monday to Saturday for the whole month of September 2022.

Lastly, those who have no RFID yet can schedule their installation by going to cclex.com.ph and clicking on Register.

Walk-ins are also now accepted at the Customer Service Centers conveniently located on both sides near the Toll Plaza, and offsite installation stations at Anjo World and Landers Superstore.
