
Last December, STAR Corporation, the exclusive distributor of BYD cars in the Philippines has announced that the first batch of its electric hatchback the Dolphin has arrived.

Locally, the BYD Dolphin is available with one engine variant that makes 95 horsepower (70 kW) and 180 Nm of torque. Power is then stored in a 44.9-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery enough for a maximum cruising range of about 405 kilometers.
The Dolphin uses BYD’s new e-Platform 3.0 which fully integrates the Blade batteries. This enables the Dolphin to achieve a 0 to 50 km/h time of 3.9 seconds, rapid charging capabilities (30 to 80 percent in 30 minutes), Two colors are available: Gray with Orange Accents and Gray with Green Accents.
Other features include heated outside mirrors, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, and an NFC-based mobile key.
