DOTr waives Php20 toll fee for Skyway-NAIA-X ramp section

The Department of Transportation has announced the Php20 toll fee being collected from motorists using the Skyway connecting to the NAIA expressway.

skyway toll waived july 2017 • DOTr waives Php20 toll fee for Skyway-NAIA-X ramp section

It has been waived since yesterday, July 26 2017, and will continually not be collected for one month. They say that the move will lessen the burden of motorists who have had to pay two separate toll fees to use both elevated expressways.

DOTr and San Miguel Corporation are working on fully integrating the toll collection systems for both expressways, and we can expect a one-stop collection system in one month.

  1. This separated toll collection is just plain greediness on the part of the owner of the additional elevated highway. I usually use the on ramp from NAIA 3 going to Makati CDB (or sometimes just to EDSA or Don Bosco). If you take this route as well, you will likely agree with me that the 35PHP fee is unfair and very expensive for a motorist to just be able to “climb” up to the next toll gate at Sales interchange (where the 20PHP is collected). Don’t get me wrong, I am willing to pay for the convenience that they provide – but at least please make the rates reasonable. Imagine having to pay 35PHP to traverse roughly just 400-500 meters??!

  2. that’s only to and from Makati… if you’re coming to & from the South, you’ll still pay P35 on top of the previous toll which was technically ‘FREE’ before…
