The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has released ikotMNL, a mobile app that shows LRT1 train arrivals and departures, tourist spots, shopping centers, restaurants near the stations, and more.
ikotMNL allows commuters to plan, navigate, and explore new places in Manila via the LRT 1 line. From the home screen, there are tabs that show train fares and crowd monitoring, and users can also report current issues on the LRT 1 stations, as well as chat support for the ikotMNL app. Users are also presented with cards that show information about:
- Train Status – shows the availability of the train, type of train, and the ETA of the train to the station
- Crowd Monitoring – shows how many people are in the platform going Northbound and Southbound
- Train Route Map
- Mamasyal, Magfood trip, and Magshopping cards that show nearby tourist spots, restaurants, and shopping centers nearby with Google Maps, Grab, and Waze integrations
- Passenger Reminders – shows daily reminders such as train service hours
- News and Announcements
The ikotMNL app is available for download on Android and iOS.
