LTFRB reminds Wunder Carpool of order to cease operations

In a press release published on January 27, 2017, the Land Transportation Franchising & Regulatory Board (LTFRB) had ordered Transportation Network Company (TNC) Wunder Carpool, to cease operations, as they are considered colorum by the board.

It seems that Wunder has not complied since then, and the LTFRB has caught wind of it. The board published a new press release yesterday, which includes an attached screenshot from Facebook, of four individuals at a Wunder meeting.

As stated in the press release, the board is warning Wunder that if they do not cease their operations, legal action will be taken.

Wunder Carpool is an urban carpooling platform founded in 2013 in Germany. It has been operating in the Philippines since early 2016.

  1. I don’t understand our government. It wants to penalize drivers who bring cars without passengers while apprehends those who have passengers pitching in on the cost of the trip. Note that cost is different from profit. Add this to the news that UV Express vans will be next to be removed from the roads. What do they want us to do? Walk from the provinces until we reach our offices in Metro Manila?

  2. How can you apprehend them if they’ll just say that they’re just friends carpooling and not using wunderapp ? give me some hints guys.. thanks
