Bentley Motors has introduced the fourth generation Continental GT Speed, marking a new chapter in the Continental GT family’s 21-year history. This model combines high-performance capabilities, handcrafted luxury, and everyday practicality.
The new Continental GT Speed features a comprehensive redesign inspired by the Bentley Bacalar and Batur, showcasing a modern exterior and interior. The vehicle is powered by an Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, which delivers 771 hp and 1000 Nm torque from a 4.0-litre V8 engine and a 187 hp electric motor. The car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and offers an electric-only range of 81 km with a total range of 859 km. This is all coupled through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The new chassis system includes two-chamber air springs, dual-valve dampers, Bentley Dynamic Ride, eLSD, and torque vectoring, ensuring superior body control and comfort. The car’s weight distribution is now 49:51, rear-biased for the first time.
Technological advancements provide driver assistance, infotainment, and connected car services, making every journey seamless. The exterior features the most significant redesign in two decades, with single headlamps reminiscent of Bentley models from the 1950s.
Inside, the Continental GT Speed continues Bentley’s tradition of luxury with wellness seat technology, air ionization, three-dimensional leather textures, and modern quilting. A new 400-volt electrical architecture supports advanced powertrain technology, achieving emissions of 29 g/km of CO2 and an electric range of 50 miles on the WLTP drive cycle.
For the first time, the convertible Continental GTC is launched alongside the coupe, offering customers flexibility. Both models will be handcrafted at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England, with production and deliveries starting in Q3.
Design-wise, the Continental GT Speed maintains Bentley’s heritage with a muscular yet refined look. The front features single headlamps with advanced LED technology, while the rear has redesigned taillights and bumper, creating a more dramatic appearance.
The interior offers new quilt patterns, adjustable seats, and the Dark Chrome Specification for a contemporary look. Audio options include a standard 10-speaker system, a Bang & Olufsen system, and a Naim system for audiophiles. The Bentley Rotating Display and mood lighting enhance the cabin’s luxury.
New colors and trim options include a modern Gravity Grey hide and Tourmaline Green paint. The electrical architecture supports advanced infotainment and driver assistance technology, with features like Intelligent Park Assist, wireless Apple CarPlay, and connected car services.
The convertible GTC features a seven-bow fabric roof system available in various colors, deployable in 19 seconds at speeds up to 48 km/h. Performance matches the coupe, with a zero to 100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 285 km/h.
To showcase the new model’s performance, Bentley set an unofficial speed record in the Ryfylke Tunnel in Norway, the world’s longest subsea road tunnel. The Continental GT Speed reached its top speed of 333 km/h, powered by renewable second-generation biofuel.
Production and deliveries of the new Continental GT Speed and GTC Speed are set to begin in the third quarter, and we are pretty sure that we could expect these new models to arrive in the Philippines sometime in the future.
