One cannot deny the pride and glory that Carlos Yulo brought to the Philippines in the 2024 Olympics. Much like the country’s first gold medal winner, Hidilyn Diaz, and Atlanta ’96 silver medalist Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco, Jr., all-due recognition was showered on Yulo following his two gold medal wins. With said recognition comes some rewards, and – we say this very lightheartedly and in jest, of course – the bemedalled Olympian may have a problem with parking.
Carlos Yulo gifted 2 brand new vehicles and a condo, but with only 1 parking slot
The first to hand a 4-wheeled prize to Carlos Yulo was Toyota, rewarding him with an all-new Land Cruiser Prado that retails for PHP 4,800,000. Now we all know that the waiting list for the Prado is pretty long but we’re also pretty sure that Toyota Motor Philippines didn’t have to pull that many strings to be able to give Yulo his unit.
More recently, Chery Auto Philippines also gifted Yulo with a brand new Tiggo 7 Pro, a vehicle that retails for PHP 1,250,000. We reckon that this is not the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, but if it is, then that sells for PHP 1,350,000. Along with the new vehicle from Chery, Yulo also gets a 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 10-year engine warranty, and free-for-life oil changes and vehicle safety check-ups.
Two new brand spanking new vehicles for Carlos Yulo, not bad at all! Now we also get to the fact that he did get a condominium unit from Megaworld as well, plus a parking slot in the same complex. “A” parking slot, singular, just one. That said, parking may be a bit of a problem for our newest, storied Olympian. But then again what’s one more parking slot for a gold medalist, right, Megaworld? Or should the prizes keep coming, maybe he won’t have to worry about it at all.
Our heartfelt congratulations to you, Mr. Carlos Edriel Poquiz Yulo! You bring honor to us all, and the Philippines thanks you!
