When I reviewed the Changan CS35 Plus Luxe, I called it a ‘Dark Horse’ in the segment. The same sentiment can be said for the brand overall for their 2022 performance.
Changan 2022 Growth
Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) confidently opens 2023 with 221% growth, from 557 units sold in 2021 to 1787 units in 2022. The company likewise achieved 100% of its sales target for wholesale.
Leading the pack are the brand’s certified best-sellers, the New CS35 Plus followed by the Alsvin sedan.
“We started 2022 strong and ended the year on an even stronger note, thanks to the collective efforts of the team and our nationwide dealership network, backed by Changan International Corporation, our local business partners, and the growing number of believers in the brand,” said CMPI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.
The New CS55 Plus, launched in November 2022, makes for a powerful tech-laden contender in the compact crossover segment, geared for a “mannered,” stable ride, yet game enough to brave one’s “wild” side. While the Uni crossovers, the Uni T, and the Uni K, launched in December 2022, set a bold new standard in lifestyle crossovers with Changan Auto’s latest avant-garde “Vision V” design language and intelligent mobility.
“We expect vigorous sales for the New CS55 Plus, while the Uni T and the Uni K work in tandem to bolster the presence of Changan Auto in the Philippines. Expect more excellent product offerings from us before the year ends,” Ms. Agudo furthered.
