After its debut less than two years ago, Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) updated its B-segment crossover model, the CS35 Plus.
For the 2022 model year, the CS35 Plus receives an updated exterior and interior. The CS35 Plus will also now come in three model variants, namely the Lite, Hype, and Luxe.

The 2022 CS35 Plus, now has a more aggressive front fascia featuring new headlights. The side remains unchanged, however, the rear does have new taillight clusters. The new overall look now makes the CS35 Plus look like its bigger sibling, the CS75 Plus.
The entry level Lite variant has LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, power folding mirrors with heating function, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. If you go for the mid-level Hype variant, the only difference from the Lite variant are 18-inch alloy wheels, and for the Luxe variant gets a two-tone exterior, a black roof and a power tailgate.
Inside the new CS35 Plus, the dashboard has been given a cleaner and more modern layout, plus a two-tone red and black interior trim.

Standard interior equipment, for the Lite variant are, leather seats, automatic climate control, power sunroof, 10-inch infotainment system, wireless phone charging, and a 10-inch break code screen (digital). The Hype and Luxe variants add a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, rear air-conditioning vents, and a panoramic sunroof.

Powering the CS35 Plus is a 1.4 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder gasoline engine, that puts out 160PS and 260Nm of torque. The engine is then matted to a 7-speed (wet-type) dual clutch transmission.
Safety wise, the CS35 Plus comes standard with dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, brake assist, hill hold control, hill descent control, tire pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, blind-spot view camera and monitor, and ISOFIX childseat anchors. Hype and Luxe variants add side curtain airbags, 360 degree around-view monitor, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
