The Department of Transportation’s technical working group has announced that it has terminated its Motorcycle-Taxi study ahead of schedule.
Antonio Gardiola Jr., a member of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and the chair of the multi-agency technical working group (TWG) announced the termination of the study. He also stated that the TWG’s report has been submitted to Congress. According to a report by ABS-CBN News, Gardiola also mentioned that the motorcycle-taxis could be considered illegal as “they are drawing their authority to run motorcycles because of the study.”
Due to the termination of the study, Gardiola stated that motorcycle-taxis running the roads can be apprehended beginning next week.
Last December 2019, the TWG approved an extension of the motorcycle-taxi pilot study, scheduled to run from January to March 23, 2020. The termination of the study renders the extension invalid.
Stay tuned for more developments.

kung illegal pala bakit edi sana walang pilot study ginawa. andyan nanaman to katangahan ng gobyerno.
if i know meron tao nasa likod nyan na masisira yung negosyo.
Naintindihan nyo po ba meaning ng pilot study? Kaya nga po tinawag na study at test run para malaman ang implication sa kalsada ng high volume bikers in real time.
so now Grab had a chance to increase the fare…due to HIGH DEMAND and limited drivers, while those great White Sharks…can scam for a higher fee without meters as they know you have limited choice now…and then we can start the blame game over and over again without any real solution
BAKET NAMAN PO GANITO
