The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced that it will be deploying busses for frontline health workers amid the enhanced community quarantine, free of charge.
The bus deployment begins today, March 18, 2020, at 7 AM. There will be an initial amount of 10 buses for health workers and will be deployed at 2 pick-up points: Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), and at the BFCT East Metro Transport Terminal in Marikina City.
The buses will ferry the health workers to their designated hospitals on the following routes:
Route 1: (PITX – Quezon City General Hospital via Makati/Pasig)

Route 3: (BFCT – San Lazaro Hospital via East Ave/E. Rodriguez)

The routes are subject to changed, depending on the requests from the Department of Health (DOH). The bus service will also comply with DOH containment protocols and will be regularly disinfected after each trip, while its passengers will observe social distancing and, body temperature checks.
The DOTr will also set up an operations center for motorpool for use by officials and members Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
Additionally, Grab PH President Brian Cu has also committed to DOTr in extending help by providing free transport for health working to identified hospitals. Details of this service arrangement will be announced soon.
