2 new online systems for Driver’s License inquiries launched by LTO-NCR

The efforts to get plastic card-printed Driver’s Licenses to motorists continue. Previously, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) launched AksyON THE SPOT, a Viber-based hotline with which one can begin the process of printing and collecting their long-awaited license cards. The agency, however, ran into a major hiccup after it was overwhelmed with requests and lost access thereafter. This time, a new system was just launched to help those in NCR with their license concerns.

The first of the two online platforms launched for Driver’s License concerns is the “Print Request – For Backlog DL Cards” 11. Visitors to this page can check on the status of their plastic card License which was already requested to be printed. Take note that the license itself, if ready, should be claimed personally by the licensee.

The second is the page for the Driver’s License (DL) Print Request. One simply has to have her or his Driver’s License’s Official Receipt to be able to input the relevant details for printing and subsequent process for claiming. Also, at the top of the page, one can see “This form is for requesting to print back-log Driver’s License Card that were transacted on offices under the Geographical Area of Resposibility (GAOR) of LTO NCR.”.

Yes, that’s right. For now, these two pages and services exist only for those who reside in NCR, or had their license requests processed inside NCR.

“This online service is exclusively available to clients who have renewed or applied for their driver’s license at the LTO-NCR offices. The system enables users to request and claim their Driver’s License Cards only at the specific LTO office where the transaction took place. This ensures a streamlined process and improves overall efficiency in card distribution,” said LTO-NCR Regional Director Roque “Rox” I. Verzosa III.

Again, just to reiterate, “currently, the option to request and claim Driver’s License Cards is available at select LTO offices across the region. These include various Driver’s License Renewal Offices (DLROs) such as Ali Mall in Cubao, Eastwood, and Robinsons Place Manila, as well as licensing centers like the Quezon City Licensing Center and Caloocan Licensing Extension Office. Additionally, several District/Extension Offices including the Pateros Extension Office and La Loma District Office, are also included.”

“The LTO-NCR is committed to expanding this service to ensure that more clients can benefit from the convenience of online access to their Driver’s License Cards. The introduction of this online system is a significant step towards modernizing services and enhancing customer satisfaction. For further information and updates, visit the LTO-NCR official website,” Verzosa added.

Have you checked yours yet? Do you think this system will work, or will it go through the same pains as the LTO‘s AksyON THE SPOT hotline? Here’s to hoping that it does work as intended and that the motoring public finally gets a convenient and sensible way of getting their Driver’s Licenses to them.
