Fuel Price Update, July 30 2024 – Good news! Gas AND diesel rollback tomorrow!
Many of us have had our bad news quota filled way too early this month. Tomorrow’s fuel price update does bring some good news, though, as both gasoline and diesel are set for a rollback. Motorists have been fearing the worst, a possibility of a price hike streak but we all get to breathe a little sigh of relief this week. Gas goes down by PHP 0.75 and diesel by PHP 0.85 per liter tomorrow, July 30, 2024.
Fuel price rollback: a most welcome bit of news for all motorists

If we are to be realistic, tomorrow’s fuel price rollback will not be enough to recoup the total amount that the consistent hikes have accumulated over the past months. However, any price reduction will always be welcome news for those who use vehicles on a daily, be they private vehicles or PUV owners. That said, both fuel types will be cheaper per liter tomorrow, with gas going down by PHP 0.75 and diesel by PHP 0.85.
As always, the earliest adjustment will be implemented by Cleanfuel, and its stations will do so as the clock strikes 12:01 AM. Other brands including Seaoil, Unioil, and bigger players like Petron, Shell, and Caltex will also update their prices in the morning, albeit a bit later, at 6:00 AM. By the time most of the motoring public has hit the road, lower prices will already be reflected in stations nationwide.

We’re all happy for any news of a fuel price rollback, but as all of us have (should) come to expect, we shouldn’t sit on our laurels expecting another price reduction to come in next week. It’s in this light that we must bring to the table the feasibility of considering hybrids and EVs. Honda has their e:HEV technology, the workings of which we explain in our article, and there’s also the possibility of a lifetime EV battery warranty from MG.
Many brands are charging (pun intended) head-on towards electrification and the consistent price adjustments of fuel– more increases than rollbacks – should tickle one’s EV and hybrid fancy even just a little. Is it time?
