Another split in fuel price adjustments is set for tomorrow, June 4, 2024. Last week saw a hike in both gasoline and diesel products but tomorrow, the former will get a modest rollback while the latter will only continue to go up. Depending on the brand and its stations, gas will go down by PHP 0.90 and diesel will go up by PHP 0.60.
Split in fuel price adjustments in the first week of June ’24
It’s not that the consumers have any choice in the matter, but we’ll take any fuel price rollback (and hike, sadly) as it comes. It may not be much, and only gas users will be pretty glad about tomorrow’s adjustment, but if we’re to find a silver lining, the diesel hike isn’t in the more-than-1-peso range. That said, gas goes down a modest PHP 0.90 per liter and diesel goes up by PHP 0.60.
Most of the brands including Seaoil, Unioil, Petron, and Shell, among many others, will apply the price adjustments at 6:00 AM. For those who buy their fuel products from CleanFuel, both the increase and decrease will take effect earlier in the day at 12:01 AM.
In the meantime, perhaps many of you can benefit from these fuel-saving tips that we’ve compiled for you. Fuel prices continue to be unpredictable week upon week and it’s best to find ways to make our gas and diesel last as long as it can; and hopefully, the following week will bring us lower prices at the pumps.
