This week’s fuel price adjustment is both good and bad, depending on what type of fuel you use. Gasoline users will be in for a bit of a hike, seeing prices go up by PHP 0.50 per liter tomorrow, March 5. As for those who use diesel, they get a bit of a reprieve with prices going down by PHP 0.40 per liter. We can’t have it all, right?
Different fuel price adjustments for gas and diesel tomorrow
Many had hoped that the fuel price rollback last week would continue this week. Alas, we’re only getting half of it tomorrow. Petroleum product prices continue to be in constant flux and with that, brought a different adjustment to gasoline and diesel prices to the PH. The former will get a hike of PHP 0.50 per liter, with the latter getting a rollback of PHP 0.40.
Many brands including Shell, Seaoil, Petron, and Unioil will be adjusting prices at 6:00 AM. Normally, Cleanfuel would implement the lower prices of fuel at 12:00 AM, but in the case of split adjustments, they do so later on in the day at 4:01 PM. We can expect all the other brands to update the prices of their stations’ pumps at 6:00 AM as well.
In case you’re looking for ways to save more fuel with your top-up, we have a list of things that could help, as well as some that don’t do anything at all. We might as well get information where we can if we want to make the most of whatever fuel we put in our tanks, right?
Next week’s fuel price adjustment will remain a mystery, and while we remain hopeful, it’s best that we maintain a realistic assumption and just do what we can to save on both our consumption and our money.
Drive safely out there, everyone!
