Fuel price update, May 21, 2024 – Good for gas, down PHP 0.10, bad for diesel, up by PHP 0.25

The fuel price rollback streak is broken! Well, for diesel, at least. This week will see a split in price adjustments for fuel products and tomorrow, May 21, gasoline will go down by PHP 0.10 and diesel will go up by PHP 0.25. Depending on your vehicle’s fuel type, this is either good or bad news, ladies and gentlemen.

Everyone was hoping that the 2-week streak of fuel price rollbacks would start a trend, but alas, it isn’t so. While this week’s adjustments are both good and bad – depending on what fuel vehicle owners use – we all have to deal with the constant fact that the prices of fuel remain volatile and will adjust one way or another.

That said, and as always, most brands will adjust pump prices at 6:00 AM tomorrow, May 21, 2024. This will include the stations of Petron, Shell, Unioil, and Seaoil, among others. Cleanfuel faithful will have until 4:00 PM to enjoy last week’s lower (or not this week’s higher) prices as it is set to update its pumps at 4:01 PM.

Some people would do anything to save on fuel, so much so that they come up with practices that don’t actually do anything good. We’ve debunked a lot of these fuel-saving myths and for your information and entertainment, you can read on those here.

As we always say, it was good while it lasted. Hopefully, next week’s fuel prices will bring better news to both gasoline and diesel users.
