Last week brought good news as fuel prices dropped for both gas and diesel users. This week brings good news, and a bit of bad, too. Tomorrow, October 17, we can expect diesel to continue its price drop by PHP 0.95USD 0.02INR 1EUR 0.02CNY 0.12 per liter. Gasoline, however, will see a bit of an increase by PHP 0.55USD 0.01INR 0.79EUR 0.01CNY 0.07. Adjustments of pump prices will come at different times depending on the brand, but these are the amounts by which they will either go up or down.
Good news for diesel and a bit of sad news for gas fuel prices tomorrow
We’re still far from the “starting point” of fuel prices before the consecutive hikes pushed the numbers sky-high. Last week was a most welcome reprieve for both gas and diesel users, but this week will be different, depending on the fuel type you use and buy. As we mentioned, gasoline will go up by PHP 0.55USD 0.01INR 0.79EUR 0.01CNY 0.07 per liter. Small, yes, but an increase nonetheless. Diesel, which has borne the brunt of increases, will again go down by a modest PHP 0.95USD 0.02INR 1EUR 0.02CNY 0.12.
Cleanfuel and Caltex, as we’ve come to expect, will be the earliest to update their pump prices to reflect the rollback. Still early but a bit later on in the morning, Petron, Shell, Seaoil, Petro Gazz, Jetti, and Flying V among other players will also see the updated prices per liter by 6:00 AM.
Getting the most out of our top-ups hasn’t been more important since the streak of fuel price increases began, so let’s not forget some of these tips to do just that and improve our fuel consumption. Last week we said that we didn’t want to jinx anything, but we really hope that next week brings good and happy news to both gasoline and diesel users. The powers that be know we can’t afford another deluge of fuel price increases.
