Fuel Price Update, September 10, 2024 – Significant decrease for gas and diesel tomorrow
What a great way to start the week! With the upticks in fuel prices in the past couple of weeks, tomorrow, September 10, brings pretty good news for all motorists because we are set to have a rollback, and a nice hefty one at that. This week’s adjustments to the prices of gas and diesel will see both go down, the former by PHP 1.55 and the latter by PHP 1.30.
Big fuel price rollback scheduled for tomorrow
You read that right, folks. Fuel prices of both gasoline and diesel products are going down quite significantly tomorrow, September 10, 2024. Per usual, different brands will be adjusting their prices at different times in the morning but we can expect gasoline to cost lower by PHP 1.55 per liter, and diesel by PHP 1.30 per liter.
The earliest to adjust and reflect the week’s new prices will be Cleanfuel at 12:01 AM. All the other players including Unioil, Seaoil, Caltex, Petron, and Shell, will do so a little bit later at 6:00 AM. We say “hefty” and “significant” to describe this week’s fuel price rollback because given how much they’ve risen in the past months, this week’s is enough to not nullify whatever price reductions we’ve had so far.
In the same breath, we’d like to present to you a nifty bit of technology in the Honda e:HEV vehicles. Yes, rollbacks are good as long as they’re enough and often, but with no way of knowing when the next big price hike is coming, building our knowledge on possible alternative sources of power for our vehicles may be a good thing to start doing. Electric vehicles are slowly but surely picking up in sales, and it’s always best we not allow ourselves to be left out.
