Multiple award winning Hyundai Ioniq 6 reservation books now open in PH

It’s been a year since Hyundai Motor Philippines had its country “reboot”. In a surprise announcement, the Ioniq 6, the brand’s electric vehicle luxury sedan, has opened its reservation books to further strengthen its presence in the PH. From today onwards, would-be buyers can already sign up for their own units.

Ioniq 6 will have 1 variant available: the GLS 2WD Long Range

The Ioniq 6 will serve as Hyundai’s second all-electric vehicle offering in the Philippines. Following the successful release of the Ioniq 5, a crossover/SUV, they will now try to dip their fingers into the 4-door electric sedan market. It shares the same platform as that of the Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6 called the Electric-Global Modular Platform or E-GMP and much like the two models mentioned, to say it has a futuristic look is an understatement.

Inside the Ioniq 6, you’ll find a huge 24-inch screen dominating the dashboard. Half of it is a 12” digital gauge cluster and the other half serves as the touchscreen infotainment system. Further upping the ultra-modern theme is an adjustable heads-up display integrated into the driver’s side of the windshield.

Driving power to the rear wheels of the Ioniq 6 is a single permanent magnetic synchronous motor. It makes use of a 77.4 kWh battery and puts out 225hp and 350Nm of torque. Range is estimated to be up to 545 kilometers and the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in only 18 minutes.

It will also come equipped with Hyundai SmartSense, the brand’s proprietary safety suite, but with the addition of Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2. It comes with a whole lot of safety features and tech as standard and is backed by a five-year or 200,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, eight years or 160,000 kilometers for the battery warranty, plus five years or 75,000 kilometers preventive maintenance service. The 7.4 kW home charger is likewise included and its installation is also free care of Hyundai.
