KG Mobility has officially marked its entry into the Philippines, operating under The Covenant Car Company Incorporated (TCCCI). This South Korean automotive brand, formerly known as SsangYong, is set to embrace a new chapter in its journey with a fresh identity. KG Mobility aims to bring a renewed and optimistic perspective to the market, reintroducing several SsangYong models, such as the Rexton, Musso Grand, and Tivoli, while introducing a new name to the Torres lineup.

The Tivoli, the smallest and most economical model in the lineup, is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine generating 126 hp and 160 Nm of torque. Available in standard and Grand variants, both come equipped with a six-speed AISIN automatic transmission. The Tivoli offers ample storage space, dual-zone automatic climate control, a reverse camera, front and rear parking assist, automatic headlamps, and a leather interior. The highlight is the sophisticated infotainment system with a 10.25-inch information display and an eight-inch Smart Mirroring Multimedia System featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Rexton, KG Mobility’s premium PPV (premium passenger vehicle) offering, is a seven-seater with a robust 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 200 hp and 441 Nm of torque. It boasts an eight-speed automatic transmission and an optional four-wheel-drive system with various drive modes. Returning to the popular midsize pickup truck segment, the Musso Grand shares its platform with the Rexton. Featuring a 2.2-liter diesel engine with 185 hp and 420 Nm of torque, it stands as a competitive option in its category. The Musso Grand offers premium features, a spacious rear deck with a 1,262-liter capacity, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), ensuring a comprehensive and utilitarian package.

Introducing a brand-new model, the Torres emerges as a striking crossover with a distinct design. Larger than the subcompact Tivoli, the Torres is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering 161 hp and 280 Nm of torque. This model boasts a towing capacity of up to 1.5 tonnes and features an all-wheel-drive mode system, expanding its capability. The Torres further impresses with a cargo space that can expand up to 1,662 liters, up to seven airbags, eight-way power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, a wireless phone charger, a nine-inch HD Smart Infotainment Screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, and ambient interior lighting.
