LTO extends vehicle registration for plates ending “4”

Normally, vehicle plates ending with the number 4 should be registered by the end of this month. The LTO has some good news because they just extended vehicle registration until May 31, 2022.

Lto Vehicle Registration Plate Ending 4

Just yesterday, the government agency announced the extension on their official Facebook page. As motorists well know, the ending number of their vehicle’s license plate indicates what month they have to renew their registration. In this case, those who are supposed to renew this month have been given a reprieve.

LTO Vehicle Registration extensions

Such extensions have been given by the LTO in light of the pandemic. The government agency saw this as a means to help vehicle owners by giving them more time to travel to and go about their business with them. No penalties nor fees for late(r) registration will be collected, of course. That said, this is by no means a reason to dilly dally.

If you can, and if your schedule permits, do renew your registration as soon as you can, within the specified time. You wouldn’t want to wait too long and risk being caught in a rush with all the others who decide to renew late, right? Go ahead, find a schedule, and drive just a little bit more worry-free.

UPDATE, 11 May 2022: Registration for those with vehicles ending in the number 5 has also been extended. You can read about it here.
