The initiative provided relief packs containing hygiene kits, bottled water, and food supplies to 250 families in Barangay Burias, one of the areas hit hardest by the earthquake. The goods were meant to help residents whose homes, roads, and access to markets and basic necessities were affected by the disaster.

Senior citizens and residents of nearby coastal communities were given particular attention, as road obstructions and damaged local stores had made it difficult for many to access essential goods.

Ms. Imelda Bernas, IPC Assistant Vice President for Administration, represented the company during the turnover. She said the company aims to support communities beyond its business operations and thanked its partners, Isuzu General Santos and the Barangay Local Government Unit, for helping carry out the initiative.
Barangay Captain Venancio Siao Wata III thanked IPC and Isuzu General Santos on behalf of Barangay Burias residents, noting that the assistance helped ease the difficulties faced by the community, particularly senior citizens and families still dealing with the earthquake’s effects.

IPC said the activity is part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, and that it hopes the initiative will help affected families as Sarangani communities continue their recovery.
