When you think of Supercars and Hypercars the established names usually crop up first. However, there are a few boutique manufacturers like Rezvani that believe they have something more to offer potential customers.
In a bid to be creative and think outside the box, the brand has come up with the Beast.
Rezvani Beast
Those who are familiar with the workings of the California-based manufacturers will note that the name Beast was also applied to its previous model. In this instance though the newer Beast is now based on the Chevrolet Corvette as opposed to the Ariel Atom.
Rezvani seems to think that their unique selling proposition is to make their cars as safe as possible, not with ADAS, not with many airbags, but with things you’d find on the presidential limo. For starters there are optional extras, it has bulletproof glass, electrified door handles, and a smoke screen feature. These extras of course will come at a cost, but given the novelty of the idea it might be a could idea to check those boxes.
The engine is a 6.2-liter V8 that is very similar to the Corvette but is slapped on with two turbochargers to make a mind-bending, bullet-evading 1,000 hp. This monstrous powertrain is fitted with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. With this much power, the brand claims a 2.5 0-60mph sprint time.
Lookswise the Beast is quite sleek, you would be hard-pressed to imagine that under that light body houses some James Bond-type features. All of these bring the price of the Beast to a wallet-melting $485,000 (PHP 27,000,000 ++).
I have a sneaking suspicion their target customer is Bruce Wayne.
