Mercedes-Benz PH teases upcoming EV launch, which EV could it be?
During the launch of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC last June, ANG (Auto Nation Group) executives confirmed that they will be bringing in an EV before the year ends. They are staying true to their word because they just (sort of) confirmed that they will be launching a Mercedes EV soon.
Mercedes-Benz PH to launch an EV soon
On the official Facebook page of Mercedes-Benz PH, they posted a silhouette of one of the new EV vehicles with the text “Get ready for the new era of sustainable luxury” followed by “coming soon”.
While the post does confirm an EV is coming, no specific model has been named by the brand. So which model could it be? Mercedes-Benz has a lot of EVs to choose from, globally the brand has been pushing its “EQ” line so the Philippine group has a wide range of vehicles to choose from.
Possible candidates are the EQB SUV, EQE Sedan, EQE SUV, EQS Sedan, and EQS SUV. Given the preference of the local market though, good money would bet that the brand will choose to bring in the EV SUV models first, but we can only wait and see for now.
