MG Philippines has unveiled its highly anticipated MG3, after its preview in MIAS, the MG3 is entering the B-Segment hatchback market with competitive pricing and a significant innovation: the first Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) variant in its class. This new model aims to redefine standards with its blend of efficiency, performance, and value.
The MG3 boasts a sleek exterior and classy interior features, enhancing both style and functionality. It is equipped with LED/Halogen headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, and power-folding mirrors. The interior features a leather-style design, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, ensuring a refined driving experience.
In terms of convenience and safety, the MG3 comes with a range of features designed to provide ease of use and enhance road safety. It includes push-button ignition, reverse parking sensors, an electric parking brake, four-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree-view camera. The MG3 also incorporates MG’s Pilot Advance Driver Assist System, offering adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and pre-collision warning.
Under the hood, the MG3 is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, delivering 118 hp of power and 150Nm of torque, making it suitable for both city and highway driving.
Notably, the MG3 is the first in its class to offer a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) variant. This model combines electric and fuel power to produce hot-hatch levels of 187 hp and 250Nm of torque. It uses advanced technologies and a 3-speed hybrid transmission for maximum power and efficiency, providing an eco-friendly yet high-performance driving experience.
