Hyundai Motor Philippines did good on its word and launched the Elantra N today at MIAS 2024. Only a few months after the Korean brand confirmed the entry of its high-performance division – N – into the Philippines, the wheels have been set in motion with the stronger, sportier version of their motorsports-inspired midsize sedan. As a surprise addition, the IONIQ 5 N was also made available for reservations today.
Hyundai Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N uncovered at MIAS 2024
The Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N took center stage at the Hyundai booth in this year’s Manila International Auto Show. Dominated by brands from China and a few from Japan, Hyundai made a big splash, regardless, with the much-anticipated launch of the first (two) of their N offerings. Take note that this is, again, the “first” as the Korean marque confirmed the entry of the N Division itself and not just some models.
We can remember Hyundai Motor Philippines President Dongwook Lee saying “At Hyundai Motor Philippines, we ‘Innovate Everyday’ to ensure our diverse Filipino customers experience progress in their lives. For those passionate about high-performance, we are pleased to announce the arrival of our technology powerhouse, N, in the country. We look forward to providing existing and future ‘N-thusiasts’ with access to groundbreaking cars that deliver outstanding pleasure and a fun-to-drive experience starting this April.” confirming the entry of their motorsports arm into the PH.
Fast forward to today, and the Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N have finally broken cover alongside the brand’s other vehicles like the electrified (non-N) IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 as well as the Creta, Custin, 5th generation Santa Fe, X trim of the Stargazer, Staria, and Tucson.
The Hyundai Elantra N’s price has been pegged at PHP 2,738,000 and the IONIQ 5 at an eye-watering PHP 4,250,000 and again, reservation books are open starting today.
