AITO has officially unveiled its flagship SUV, the M9, at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2025. Designed for drivers seeking a blend of advanced technology, luxury, and safety, the M9 represents the latest in New Energy Vehicle (NEV) innovation.
AITO, short for “Adding Intelligence to Auto,” aims to set new standards in the NEV segment. The M9 integrates high-end components from global suppliers and showcases a strong focus on intelligent mobility.
The M9 features a streamlined, two-tone design with a low drag coefficient of 0.279 Cd, enhancing efficiency and performance. Measuring 5,230 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,800 mm high, with a 3,110 mm wheelbase, the M9 is designed to balance city drivability with comfort and stability.
Performance-wise, the M9 uses a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) system delivering 489 horsepower and 675 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. A 52 kWh battery supports over 200 km of electric-only range.
The M9 includes an intelligent Range Extender Electric Vehicle (REEV) platform to address range limitations. Its onboard generator provides an additional 1,000 km of range after a five-minute refuel, bringing the total driving range to over 1,200 km.
Inside, the M9 offers a spacious, tech-forward cabin. Highlights include Zero Gravity seats, adaptive dual armrests, and a 25-speaker sound system. Additional features include white ash wood trim, crystal controls, leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, and a customizable ambient lighting system with 16.8 million color options. Other amenities include intelligent storage, a dual-mode refrigerator, and an integrated fragrance system.
The intelligent cockpit integrates driver, central, and passenger screens, while AITO’s smart systems manage lighting and real-time energy usage. The M9 includes 20 active safety features and nine airbags. It recently earned a “super” five-star rating from the China New Car Safety Assessment Program (C-NCAP) with a record-breaking score of 93.9%.
The AITO M9 is priced at P5,757,000 for MAX REEV, P6,357,000 for ULTRA REEV, and P6,557,000 for ULTRA BEV. It is on display at MIAS 2025, and pre-orders are now open. Those who don’t have the time to go to MIAS can head to the SERES AITO dealership at Edsa, Greenhills.
