MIAS 2025: Changan launches a slew of electrified models w/ price

Inchcape Philippines, the country’s exclusive distributor of Changan vehicles, officially launched four new electric vehicle (EV) models today at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2025, held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The unveiling highlights Changan’s commitment to sustainable mobility and innovation in the local automotive market.

The brand’s four-day exhibit, from April 10 to 13, 2025, invites the public to explore and test drive its newest electric offerings under the theme “Begin Your Electrifying Journey with Changan.”

It has been a long time coming, but now is Changan’s turn to bring the fight into the electrified market and add a much-needed update to their lineup.

“We are proud to introduce Changan’s new electric vehicles to the Philippine market,” said Jun Cajayon, Head of Business Group – Changan Philippines. “This launch is part of our vision to lead the shift towards eco-conscious mobility and smarter transportation solutions.”

1. Changan Nevo Q05 – Plug-In Hybrid Electric SUV

A compact SUV featuring a sleek exterior with full LED lighting and 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it comes with leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Powered by a 1.5L BlueCore engine paired with a hybrid system, it offers three driving modes and an EV-only range of 125 km. With the range extender, total range reaches up to 1,215 km.

  1. Changan Nevo Hunter K50 – Range-Extender EV Pick-Up

Changan NEVO Hunter K50

The world’s first range-extended EV pickup, the Hunter K50 blends urban design with off-road capability. Available in 4×2 and 4×4 variants, it features up to 268 hp and 470 Nm of torque. It includes a V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function that can power external devices through dual 220V outlets. It has an EV range of 180 km and a total range of up to 1,031 km.

Changan’s entry-level EV, the Lumin is designed for city driving with a compact footprint and minimalist design. It offers two battery variants—17.65 kWh (190 km range) and 28.08 kWh (301 km range). It comes equipped with essential safety features like ABS, ESC, and dual airbags, and offers up to 580L of trunk space with foldable rear seats.

  1. Changan Nevo A05 – Plug-In Hybrid Sedan (Preview only)

Previewed ahead of its official launch later this year, the Nevo A05 is a compact sedan featuring a 13.2-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and a digital driver display. It shares the same 1.5L hybrid powertrain as the Q05, with a 145 km EV-only range and 1,250 km with range extender. Advanced driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and autonomous emergency braking.

Three of the four models carry Changan’s “Nevo” badge, representing the brand’s push toward digital intelligence and future-forward mobility. The Nevo series is part of Changan’s “101” sub-brand, focusing on EVs that combine simplicity, intelligence, and futuristic design.

Visitors can test drive select Changan models, including the Nevo Q05, Hunter K50, and Lumin, at the MIAS 2025 outdoor test drive area. The event is open daily from 10 AM to 9 PM until April 13, 2025.
