The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has released the new and heftier fines for illegally parked vehicles for 2019.
In a report by ABS-CBN, MMDA published Regulation No. 18-008 which puts heftier fines for illegally parked vehicles:
• Attended Vehicle – PHP 1,000USD 17INR 1,445EUR 16CNY 124 (from PHP 200USD 3INR 289EUR 3CNY 25)
• Unattended Vehicle – PHP 2,000USD 34INR 2,891EUR 33CNY 248 (from PHP 500USD 8INR 723EUR 8CNY 62)
• Obstruction – PHP 1,000USD 17INR 1,445EUR 16CNY 124 (PHP 150USD 3INR 217EUR 2CNY 19)
The MMDA can also issue a new ticket if the violator did not remove the illegally parked vehicle within 3 hours, racking up fines of up to PHP 4,000USD 68INR 5,781EUR 65CNY 496.
Motorist can settle their fines at Bayad Center outlets or at the MMDA headquarters in Makati.
The new fines will take effect on January 7, 2019.
