So without further ado, here’s what you need to know whether you are a devotee or not, or if you simply frequent these Manila areas regularly.
Nazareno 2025 traffic schemes and involved areas
Non-Working Holiday
- Per Malacanan Palace, January 9, 2025 has been declared a non-working holiday. The Coding Scheme, however, has not yet been lifted by the MMDA for Nazareno 2025. As of this posting, no official information has been published but should there be updates, trust that we will likewise update this article for you.
PARADE ROUTE
- There is a total of 11 Segments and about 24 major streets and areas (including the start of the procession at Quirino Grandstand and its end at Quiapo Church). We can all expect that the immediate streets surrounding these areas will be closed to vehicular traffic, so if you will, please refer to the rerouting schemes that will be implemented for Nazareno 2025 below.
REROUTING SCHEME FOR LIGHT VEHICLES
- Vehicles coming from the South (Roxas Blvd. and Taft Avenue) are advised to take United Nations Avenue, head straight towards Nagtahan Otis, and turn left at Mabini Bridge towards Magsaysay Blvd. and Lacson Avenue to get to their northbound destination
- Vehicles coming from the North (Malabon-Navotas and the Port Area) are advised to take Anda Circle and pass along Soriano Avenue (Intramuros), Magallanes Drive, and into Chinatown to get to their destination
REROUTING SCHEME FOR TRUCKS
- Trucks headed for North Harbor from SLEX are advised to take Osmena Avenue, turn right at Quirino Avenue, go straight along Nagtahan St. towards Lacson Avenue, turn left at Yuseco St., and go straight towards Capulong St. From there they can turn left or right at R-10 Road going to their destination
- Trucks coming from Paranaque are advised to turn right at Quirino Avenue and head towards Nagtahan and Lacson Avenue to get to their Northbound destination. Trucks that are headed Southbound may also take Nagtahan or Lacson Avenue into Quirino Avenue.
