
After a tough and somewhat topsy-turvy past 2 years, Omoda and Jaecoo have officially launched in the Philippines with confirmed pricing and dealership partnerships.

Both brands were launched to the media, influencers, bank partners, and dealer partners in a big way. After what seemed like an eternity 3 cars were launched and confirmed, the Omoda C5, E5 and the Jaecoo EJ6.
Starting with the C5 is a crossover still equipped with an internal combustion engine making 156 PS but filled with a lot of creature comfort and features needed for any modern vehicle, it will come in 3 variants with prices starting at PHP 998,000USD 17,006INR 1,471,850EUR 16,337CNY 123,852 up to PHP 1,279,000USD 21,794INR 1,886,269EUR 20,937CNY 158,724. What makes the C5 an interesting proposition is that the warranty for the vehicle is 7 years or 200,000 km and the engine warranty is a whopping 10 years or 1,000,000 km (whichever comes first).
Next up is the Omoda E5 which is the EV version of the C5, that has a full range of 430 Km and an EV motor making 204 PS and 400 Nm of torque It too can charge from 30-80 percent in just 28 minutes if using a fast charger. Pricing is also good at PHP 1,699,000USD 28,951INR 2,505,685EUR 27,813CNY 210,846. The warranty for the E5 is the same 7 years or 200,000 km for the vehicle and 8 years or 200,000 km for the battery (whichever comes first).
Lastly, the Jaecoo EJ6 which is the more rugged brand launched the boxy EV crossover in 2 variants AWD and rear wheel drive, priced at PHP 1,799,000USD 30,655INR 2,653,165EUR 29,450CNY 223,256 and PHP 1,649,000USD 28,099INR 2,431,945EUR 26,994CNY 204,641 respectively. The EJ6 has a pretty powerful EV powertrain making 275 PS, and the warranty coverage is the same as the E5 stated above.
Apart from the vehicles launched, Omoda and Jaecoo were also keen to announce that by the end of 2025, they will have 24 dealerships nationwide, while their parts supply will be taken care of by global logistics leader DB Schenker. Omoda and Jaecoo are finally in the Philippines, time to see if they can live up to the pressure.
