Alpine is a sports car brand that flies relatively under the radar. Despite being around for quite a while and investing heavily into F1, not much is said about the brand and its model, the A110.
To combat this Alpine is saying goodbye to the mid-engined lightweight A110 with a bang of performance and a pinch of the bank account.
Alpine A110 R Ultime
The A110 R already exists but the Ultime takes it to a whole new level of hardcore by Alpine standards. The Ultime gets a 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making a decent 345 HP. It also has a launch control system that can propel the car to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and uses a tweaked 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
When it comes to handling the A110 R Ultime gets adjustable Ohlins dampers with a cool Akrapovic titanium exhaust, and lastly better stopping power courtesy of AP Racing brakes. The grip is helped along by the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and a cool but functional body kit that serves up 160 kilograms of downforce at peak speeds.
As mentioned in the title this A110 R Ultime is the final version of the mid-engined sports coupe, and prices are quite high, especially for Alpine standards starting at $290,000 (PHP 16 Million) and topping off at $360,000 (PHP 18 Million).
