Toyota announces EV output cut by 2026

Despite the stand of the brand, it still offers a few EVs for consumers to buy, and in fact, it has gone as far as even making predictions for its future sales.

Most recently Toyota has just announced it is cutting EV sales forecast of 2026 by a third, this comes after the brand first predicted hitting 1.5 Million EV production globally by 2026, and 3.5 Million by 2030. Nikkei Asia first reported this, and in that report, Toyota cited the global EV sales slowdown as the reason for the decision to cut the 2026 prediction by a third.
