As the holidays rolled in, Toyota Motor Philippines quietly snuck in a very significant new (updated) vehicle, the brand is ushering in 2025 by introducing the newly refreshed Corolla Altis Hybrid.
2025 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid
First introduced in Thailand sometime last year, this updated model features some aesthetic changes along with some newer bits for the powertrain and hybrid system, which are significant even if this isn’t an all-new model.
Let’s first talk about the updated hybrid system, gone is the nickel-metal hydride battery, and in comes the lithium-ion pack. This increases the battery capacity to improve fuel efficiency further. Despite the updated hybrid system, the engine output remains the same, still producing 122 HP and is paired to a CVT.
The aesthetic upgrades are hard to spot but if you look closely it has a new black ducktail spoiler, new rims, and clear-style taillights, the last significant change to the looks is the hybrid badge, now adapting the beyond zero HEV badge.
Inside the interior gets some new things like a bigger infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, and even a wireless charger.
