GWM Philippines recently hosted a dynamic test drive event highlighting the capabilities and standout features of the New GWM Cannon, simulating real-world driving conditions.

Attended by members of the motoring media and content creators, participants were able to test the Cannon under various driving conditions — from performance runs to technical challenges, which showcased the full capabilities of its upgraded engine and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS). These features were put through their paces, reinforcing how the New Cannon merges power, precision, and smart safety in a commanding yet refined package.

Cannon First Drive Impressions

The previous Cannon was more of a utilitarian pickup dressed up as an everyday model; the ride was harsh, and it felt solid but old-school. This new Cannon takes the recipe further and better by combining what makes a modern pickup a best seller with a more dynamic driving style.

I appreciate GWM updating the interior with better materials, a more solid feel, and updated features for better daily usability, especially the ventilated wireless charger and the 540-degree camera system.

Driving feels much, much more dynamic compared to before; this updated Cannon is livelier and more athletic to drive, which most people are looking for nowadays. In the few minutes I had behind the wheel, it felt good and solid, something that could take the competition on.
