If there’s one model we’re hoping Nissan Philippines offers in the country once more it’s the X-Trail. While there are plans to introduce new models in the Philippines later this year, hopefully this is one of them – the new X-Trail e-Power.
Nissan recently revealed the new 2027 X-Trail at the Nissan Vision Event. The company didn’t disclose specific details about the crossover yet, but says it will be powered by an updated version of their e-Power hybrid powertrain.

For those unfamiliar, the e-Power hybrid powertrain works differently from traditional hybrids. It uses a gasoline engine as a generator to power electric motors that drive the wheels.
More importantly, we get to see what the upcoming X-Trail will look like. The front end features a radical redesign from the split headlight of the outgoing X-Trail model, and looks a lot sharper than before. It definitely looks the part with newer Nissan models.

The rest of the body features new wheels too, but we noticed that the rear quarter looks similar to that of the outgoing model. This suggests that the 2027 X-Trail will be a heavy facelift instead of being an entirely new model.
More details about the 2027 X-Trail will be made closer to the vehicle’s launch so stay tuned.
