Audi unveils Q6 e-tron – Uses all-new PPE platform

Audi has taken a significant step forward in its electric vehicle (EV) strategy with the launch of the Q6 e-tron, a premium electric SUV developed in collaboration with Porsche. This milestone marks Audi’s commitment to expanding its global lineup of electric models and signals a revitalization of its model portfolio.

The Q6 e-tron, built on the innovative Premium Platform Electric (PPE), is a key part of Audi’s plan to offer electric vehicles across all core segments by 2027. Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, emphasized the significance of this launch, stating, “Built on the new PPE platform, the Audi Q6 e-tron is the next technological leap in premium electric mobility for our customers.”

The PPE platform, developed in collaboration with other brands within the Volkswagen Group, enables Audi to introduce high-volume models with advanced technical standards across various segments, further electrifying its product lineup.

Key features of the Q6 e-tron include impressive range, charging performance, and e-performance capabilities. Equipped with powerful electric motors and a cutting-edge lithium-ion battery, the Q6 e-tron boasts a range of up to 625 kilometers and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in as little as 5.9 seconds. Additionally, its 800-volt technology allows for fast charging, with up to 255 kilometers of range added in just ten minutes.

The exterior design of the Q6 e-tron reflects Audi’s signature SUV styling with a modern twist on the e-tron design language. The vehicle features dynamic lines and a sleek silhouette, complemented by innovative lighting technology, including the world’s first active digital light signature.

Inside, the Q6 e-tron1 offers a spacious, comfortable cabin incorporating sustainable materials and advanced digital features. The Audi MMI panoramic display and MMI passenger display provide a visually stunning digital stage, while the optional Augmented Reality Head-Up Display enhances the driving experience with relevant information projected onto the windshield.

A newly developed electronic architecture enhances the vehicle’s driving dynamics. It ensures seamless connectivity and supports advanced driver assistance systems.
