According to the BI, about 18 units of the e-gate will be deployed in the country’s major airports, including those in Clark, Davao, and Kalibo, and the new airport in Cebu.

BI Port Operations Division Chief Red Mariñas told in an exclusive interview that using the e-gate will only take 12-15 seconds as passengers will only have to swipe their passports, have biometrics, and undergo facial capturing.

Mariñas explained that the e-gates will be used by Filipinos only and will not lessen the number of immigration officers occupying the airports. Foreigners, on the other hand, will still have to go through immigration officers. He also said that the officers will be at the airports to look around (for security purposes).

“Hopefully, (all of the e-gates) will be in place by the end of the year,” he said.

The government has allotted PHP340 million for the facilities.

The inauguration will be held in June at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

  1. “According to BI, about 18 units of the e-gate will be installed in country’s major airports such as in Clark, Davao, Kalibo, and Cebu.”
“The inauguration will be held in June at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.”

    • i just copy and just pasted it from her actual post
      .
The word “including” was not included in her original post.

It’s up to her now if she will deny it.

      I did not twist it.

    • You twist the words. The original quote goes:
“According to the BI, about 18 units of the e-gate will be deployed in the country’s major airports, including those in Clark, Davao, and Kalibo, and the new airport in Cebu.”
Either way, they used those 4 airports as examples of where the e-gates will be installed. Surely, hindi magpapahuli ang main gateway that is NAIA.
