Porsche is introducing the third generation of the Panamera in a distinctive form, unveiling a unique one-off car, the Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch, in Shanghai. This bespoke vehicle showcases the meticulous attention to detail applied by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in executing the Sonderwunsch program. Through this program, Porsche aims to bring to life the individual dreams of its customers, visualizing the potential of a highly personalized sports car.
In the contemporary luxury landscape, individuality stands out as a distinct form of opulence. Recognizing this, the new Panamera is offered with a broad array of factory options, encompassing colors, upholstery, decors, and accentuating details. For those desiring an even more exclusive and personalized experience for their dream car, Porsche presents the Sonderwunsch program. This initiative includes consultation, planning, and expert execution of custom color and material preferences, extending to the creation of unique, one-off vehicles. The diverse options under the Sonderwunsch program will be showcased during the global premiere of the new Panamera in Shanghai.
Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing, emphasizes the value that customers place on imparting their personal touch to their vehicle’s design. The Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch, based on the new Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, serves as a testament to Porsche’s ability to flexibly and precisely fulfill the visions of their customers. With specially crafted color tones, individual accents, and meticulous attention to detail, the Panamera has been transformed into a truly unique car. The exterior has been expertly designed by specialists from the Style Porsche and Exclusive Manufaktur units, leaving the interior intentionally unfinished until the following year. This one-off creation is poised to inspire individuals to turn their highly individual Panamera dreams into reality.
The Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch features a distinctive two-tone finish centered around the specially created Leblon Violet Metallic color tone, with a subtle hint of chestnut. Through an elaborate production technique, the color seamlessly transitions into a solid black in the lower third of the car, with solid black door sills and front and rear spoiler lips. Tinted headlights, tail lights, and windows, along with Bronzite tailpipes, continue the thematic coherence. The clear coat of the Sonderwunsch Panamera Turbo includes flakes infused with real gold, imparting a premium look with a depth effect. The exterior is further adorned with pinstripes in the newly developed Avium Metallic color, featuring an integrated Sonderwunsch logo. The 21-inch center-locking rims and side window frames are finished in Avium Metallic, showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail evident in the meticulously finished logos on the rear.
Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, along with Porsche Classic, employs skilled craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail to enhance and restore unique sports cars. As part of its Co-Creation strategy, Porsche is revitalizing its legendary Sonderwunsch program from the late 1970s, allowing for the creation of individualized, one-off cars co-created by customers and professionally produced by Porsche.
The services offered by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur include Factory Commissioning for individual customer color and material requests during production, Factory Re-Commissioning for post-delivery customization, and Factory One-Off for new technical developments after vehicle delivery. The Factory Re-Commissioning process focuses on individual colors and materials, while the Factory One-Off service involves systematic technical advancements, with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur or Porsche Classic handling the implementation based on the vehicle’s age.
The Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch was crafted through the Factory Re-Commissioning process, serving as a real-world example of this procedure’s viability. Customers interested in this customization process can contact the Sonderwunsch Team in the Exclusive Manufaktur unit through their Porsche Centre, initiating the subsequent Factory Re-Commissioning of their vehicle. Once transported to the manufacturer, the car undergoes customization according to the customer’s preferences, with specific transportation and registration requirements tailored to each customer’s needs.
