The long wait is over, and those itching to go racing can now do so at the EKartRaceway. On the 1st of May 2022, the karting track (soft-) opened its doors, making it the first-ever indoor electric go-kart venue to operate in the country.
EKartRaceway Junior Karts ready to race
As we previously reported, its opening proceeded as scheduled. This not being its grand opening, EKartRaceway is out to whet everyone’s appetites, it seems. For now, only junior karts are available for use. These karts are best suited for those who weigh under 60 kilograms and are below 5’9″.
For the younger drivers who want to experience the thrill of karting and are from 4 to 11 years old, they will all be grouped together on track under the supervision of an instructor. This practice is meant to ensure the safety of everyone, and for the young racers to learn the functions of the kart, and how to race on track albeit at a slower pace. Previous reports about speed limits being electronically controlled hold true, and it will be up to the track steward to determine a driver’s kart’s speed.
Following its soft opening, EKartRaceway entertains walk-in clients on a first-come-first-served basis; no reservations for now. The price per 6-minute session on the junior karts is PHP 650.00.
After their grand opening, the adult and dual-seat karts will finally be available, and that’s sure to make the EKartRaceway experience a lot more exciting for a wider range of guests.
