We don’t want to jinx it, but things are looking up -rather, down, literally – for fuel prices. With another rollback set for tomorrow, this time, both gasoline and diesel prices will be going down. Gas will be cheaper by PHP 3.05 per liter, and diesel by PHP 2.45, but do expect different brands and stations to update their pumps with the new prices at different times. That notwithstanding, this is good news, indeed.
Fuel prices of both gas and diesel go down after series of continuous price hikes
If news of a fuel price rollback isn’t good enough, then the amount by which they will go down should be. It’s still far from the total that’s already been added per liter since the price hike streak started, but tomorrow will see gas slide down by PHP 3.05, and diesel by PHP 2.45 per liter. If anything, we just hope this starts a downtrend, and a streak for rollbacks as well.
By 12:01 AM, we can expect both Cleanfuel and Caltex to be the earliest to bring their pump prices down in line with the rollback. A bit later in the day, but still early in the morning, nonetheless, other major players such as Petron, Shell, as well as Seaoil, Petro Gazz, Jetti, and Flying V will also bring their fuel prices down by 6:00 AM.
As great as this news is, and as much as we can all hope and pray that a fuel price rollback streak starts, we can’t be too frugal with our use of fuel. Granted, not everyone can afford not to use their vehicles, so for those of us who can’t avoid it, here are some ways we can improve our fuel consumption. We don’t know when our luck will run out and prices start going up again, so it’s best we share what good practices we have to try and lower our fuel consumption, yes?
Well, cheers to some good news to start this new week! Enjoy, everyone!
