So… Hindi na V8 yung Expedition? Well at least mababawasan yung fuel consumption, but IMO, the Expedition’s biggest appeal in our market is its “I don’t give a f*ck” profile and the macho-ness of the platform.
This SUV is the epitome of a politician’s ride, and if the power exuded is neutered by the removal of 2 cylinders, no matter if its horsepower rating remains the same, that appeal decreases.
And yes, a V6 and a V8 will sound different – to the trained ear.
True, pero para sa mga typical businessmen at politicians, hindi naman nagmamatter sa kanila ang dami ng cylinders. Basta luxurious, ok na. Wala eh, yan na ang trend ngayon sa automotive market; decreasing engine size while increasing power.
We’ll really miss the traditional look of SUV: boxy, large, I-dont-care-about-fuel-economy profile, big engine block, etc.
