The fuel price update for August 6, brings some pretty good news. For the second straight week, a rollback is scheduled to be implemented tomorrow. We’ve had so many price hike streaks since the year started and any price reduction is always something we look forward to. Gasoline is set to go down by PHP 0.10 and diesel by PHP 0.20 per liter.
That’s two weeks in a row of fuel price rollbacks
Slowly but surely, fuel prices are going down. As we always say, they’re not enough to make up for the increases in their totality, but any drop in prices per liter is something we’ll all gladly take. With school season coming into full gear, traffic will inevitably get worse so having to pay less when topping up is better. Tomorrow, gasoline is cheaper by PHP 0.10 per liter and diesel by PHP 0.20.
At 6:00 AM, most players including Shell, Petron, Caltex, Unioil, and Seaoil among others will update their pumps’ prices to reflect the adjustments. Much earlier – at 12:01 AM, to be exact – Cleanfuel will be applying the new gas and diesel prices to its pumps. They are always the earliest to do so and this week is no different. Regardless, both fuel types will be cheaper in the morning.
It’s pretty easy to feel happy with this week’s fuel price rollback, but that’s just rightfully so. However, with no exact way to predict the changes in fuel prices week to week, it’s always best to be as practical as we can when using our vehicles. Traffic will, as we mentioned, only get worse, so here are some tips to save fuel as we wait and hope for more consistent rollbacks on fuel prices.
