It goes without saying that safety is now a top priority for any car buyer, gone are the days that motorists take for granted or simply don’t bother to know just how safe their vehicles are.
Due to advancements in technology, we’re lucky enough that most vehicles nowadays have the safety of their passengers as a priority, especially family vehicles. We’re happy to report that Honda’s latest family vehicles have not only passed the ASEAN NCAP tests but aced them with flying colors.
Honda HR-V and BR-V ASEAN NCAP test results
The soon-to-be-launched Honda BR-V scored 33.72 points for adult occupant protection (AOP), 17.46 points for child occupant protection (COP), 15.71 for safety assist, and 10.13 for motorcycle safety. That’s a total of 77.02 points, which is good enough for a five-star safety rating.
Meanwhile, the HR-V (which is already being sold here) was able to get 35 points for AOP, 17.81 points for COP, 18.57 points for safety assist, and 10 points for motorcycle safety. That’s a total of 81.38 points and also gives the HR-V a 5-star rating.
So there you have it! if you’ve been eyeing any of these two vehicles, the NCAP results have just made your decision that little bit easier. Now we just have to wait for Honda to launch the BR-V.
