Limited edition 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Black Series retails for PHP 899,000

In what was a very quiet debut, the 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Black Series was launched in the Philippines. As the new variant of the brand’s great-selling sub-compact sedan, the Black Series gets an exterior treatment that makes it look bolder and sportier compared to its “normal” variants. Let’s have a look.

Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Black Series gets aesthetic updates and will be limited to 150 units

As with all other Mitsubishi vehicles that got the “Black Series” treatment, it’s all added aesthetic value that was put on. While there are no performance parts added, the series does well to make the Mirage G4 a lot better, and more distinct.

One thing that did not go away is Mitsubishi’s trademark Dynamic Shield front face design. But this Mirage got a bit more flair by way of red accent strips on the grill. Other telltale signs on the outside that let you know that what you’re looking at is a Black Series are blacked-out side mirror housings and blacked-out 16” alloy wheels as well. Aside from those details, the Mirage G4 retains much of its same looks.

The interior does get a few added bits, though. Inside the Mirage G4 Black Series, you now get cool blue LED illumination in the floor wells and the center console. For practicality, Mitsubishi made sure that the G4 also gets an armrest console between the front seats, as well as a trunk tray as standard. An added bonus is the 7” Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Powering the Mirage G4 Black Series is the same 1.2-liter 3-cylinder DOHC MIVEC engine. It puts out 76 HP and 100 Nm torque and it still comes paired with a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). But it does come with keyless entry and an engine push-start system. A Welcome Home and Coming Home Light also activate with the click of the remote to illuminate immediate surroundings when leaving or approaching the vehicle.

“When it comes to our customers, we are all ears in order for us to meet their expectations. For the Mirage G4, the target market, being cool and practical at the same time are their major considerations. With the introduction of this limited edition model, we want to give our customers more options to best represent their personality” – Takeshi Hara, President and CEO, MMPC

Only 150 units of the 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Black Series will make their way to the Philippines. It will be available in two colors – Titanium Gray Metallic and Red Metallic – and will retail for PHP 899,000.
