Heads up for motorists who frequent the Ortigas Center area, a multi-day traffic disruption is scheduled next week.
ADB annual meeting
According to a post on the official MMDA page, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Annual Meeting will be happening from September 26 to 30, 2022. Furthermore, the MMDA’s post went on to say that the traffic agency will be providing assistance to delegates and motorists.
Even so, the MMDA is advising motorists as early as now that they should expect traffic in the area on those dates. The event will be held at the ADB headquarters in Ortigas, where the MMDA expects around 300 delegates. While there will be some disruption to the traffic flow, the MMDA has said that there will be no road closures during the 5-day annual meeting.
The MMDA is also allowing delegates’ convoys to also use the inner lane or the EDSA Busway lanes from Guadalupe to Ortigas. The agency will deploy traffic enforcers along the route of the convoys. The MMDA Road Emergency Group will also be on standby to provide assistance.
