The Nissan Kicks is one of the most well-loved cars in the country right now. The affordable price along with the revolutionary e-power hybrid system are the top reasons why it’s a big seller.
However, the current model/generation has been around since 2016 (launched locally in 2022), and a new model has already been spied doing some testing.
The speculation is over, the all-new has just made its US debut.
2025 Nissan Kicks
Starting with the looks, Nissan has done away with the slightly rounded and “cutesy” design and replaced it with a more imposing and somewhat angular look.
The new Kicks does away with the obvious v-motion grille and instead uses a sharper blade-like design for the grille and the headlights. On the side, the brand kept the floating roof design as well as the two-tone color scheme which is a Kicks model trademark. The rear design is more minimalist this time round with ‘boomerang’ shaped taillights.
The interior is heavily updated with 2 prominent screens for the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment screen. Other notable features include wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 360 all-around view camera.
Interestingly the Kicks for the North American market receives a non-e-power 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 141 hp and 191 Nm of torque paired with a CVT. A new addition to the powertrain is the Kicks now comes with Nissan’s intelligent All-wheel-drive system for better traction.
While this particular SR model is only for the North American market, we now have an idea of what the next generation Kicks will look like. With an ever-growing popularity locally, customers and fans will be chomping at the bit for the local brand counterpart to bring it in.
