Chery Auto Philippines recorded 202 retail units in May 2026, marking an 82% year-on-year increase and one of the brand’s strongest monthly performances this year.
The result brings Chery’s year-to-date total to 762 units from January to May 2026, a 55.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
“These results reflect the growing trust and confidence that Filipino consumers place in the Chery brand,” said Franz Decloedt, Brand Head of Chery Auto Philippines. “Today’s motorists are more discerning than ever and are increasingly embracing electrified mobility solutions that deliver tangible everyday benefits. As more customers experience the value, innovation, and ownership journey that Chery offers, we remain committed to providing vehicle offerings that are intelligent, comfortable, and relevant to their evolving needs.”

UAAGI Deputy Director Joshua Sytin attributed the brand’s performance to shifting consumer priorities and the strength of its dealer and aftersales network. “The market continues to present significant opportunities for brands that understand the evolving priorities of today’s motorists. Our performance reflects the increasing demand for vehicles that are intelligent, efficient, safe, and practical for modern Filipino families. Equally important is the confidence customers place in Chery as part of the UAAGI Auto Group, backed by two decades of automotive expertise, technical service excellence, and dependable genuine parts support,” he said.
Chery participated in the recently concluded Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2026, where it set up its Chery Super Hybrid Hub. The brand used the show to unveil the all-new Chery QEV and showcase the Tiggo rEV. Also on display were the Tiggo Cross, which was offered with exclusive PIMS pricing, the Tiggo Touring, and the seven-seater Tiggo Grand Tour.
